Loyal fans of Ariana Grande are demanding that a individual who breached a fence and grabbed the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A viral video reveals the individual from Australia shoving aside camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the performers made its way down a yellow carpet accompanied by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being arrested", though official papers showed that he was set to attend court on the next day. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.

Record of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram feed includes recordings of him interrupting other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last December.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user remarked.

Fans Express Concern Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Numerous supporters blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the finale of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote a further message on Instagram.

Some attendees also questioned event staff at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while some called for online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

Response and Event Details

In videos circulating online, Grande appeared startled when she was approached by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Numerous of supporters had gathered in a sea of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore venue, including some who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The movie, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a two-part version of the acclaimed Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which centers on the unexpected friendship between two distinct characters.

The production itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a sleek black dress embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of last year in the UK, and received a dozen award recognitions, winning two for best costume and set decoration.
