New Information Come to Light Regarding the Finding of the Bodies of Rob and Michele Reiner Remains

New information has come to light about the shocking demises of acclaimed director Rob Reiner and artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were located at their Los Angeles home home on Sunday.

A Initial Report

A source indicates citing a family associate, a massage therapist scheduled for an appointment first raised the alarm after being unable to gain access the house. This individual then got in touch with the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides in the vicinity.

When she went into the home, Romy found her father's body. Accounts indicate she then fled the house in anguish, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was also inside. A companion who had accompanied her contacted 911. Following this, emergency responders located Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Legal Proceedings

Law enforcement have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of premeditated murder, along with the use of a dangerous weapon, said to be a knife. He is currently being held without bail.

Correcting the Record

The anonymous source also disputed several previously reported details. The source indicated that while Romy Reiner told emergency responders that her brother Nick lived in a detached unit on the grounds, she did not identify him as a suspect at that time.

The source also disputed widely reported suggestions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been especially "concerned" about Nick's conduct in the preceding period. The source claimed the family was "familiar with working through [Nick's] problems together."

This refutation applies to accounts of alleged "unstable" conduct by Nick at a event thrown by Conan O'Brien the evening prior to the bodies were found. Although the source noted they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "chastised" his son at the party, they asserted that claims of a "heated argument" between the two were untrue.

Ongoing Inquiry Details

According to law enforcement officials, the medical examiner had still not confirmed at that point whether the Reiners died on Saturday evening or on Sunday. Some accounts noted the condition of their bodies suggested they had been dead for a period of time.

Nick Reiner was taken into custody at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the neighbourhood of Exposition Park, about 15 miles from the scene. He was due to be arraigned on Tuesday, but his legal counsel, Alan Jackson, stated his client had not received medical clearance and would be unable to attend until Wednesday or later.
