Renowned Star Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Known For Roles in Seinfeld and The Middle, Passes Away at Age 60.
Stateside entertainer Pat Finn, who appeared in iconic TV shows such as "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has died at the age of 60.
The comedy and improvisation performer passed away at his residence in Los Angeles, California this Monday following cancer treatment beginning in 2022, according to news outlets.
"Pat considered no one a stranger - only friends he hadn't encountered," his relatives stated in a message.
They noted that he had "embraced life completely - with joy and exuberance".
A Prolific Career on Screen
His initial on-screen part was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he portrayed the brother of the main character.
He subsequently landed a recurring role on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.
He appeared as Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, depicting a social organizer famous for delegating tedious tasks to his guests.
In the 90s and 2000s, he made guest appearances on numerous popular shows, such as:
- "King of Queens"
- "Friends"
- "That '70s Show"
- "House"
He was most recognized for portraying Bill Norwood in The Middle, appearing throughout eight seasons over nearly a decade.
His work in movies are "It's Complicated" and "Santa Paws 2".
Off-Screen Life
Beyond his television work, Finn was an improv performer and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was a faculty member.
He was a member of a six-person improv troupe known as Beer Shark Mice.
"Pat taught, supported, and inspired numerous pupils over the years and it would be difficult to find a person anywhere who has anything negative to say about him," his family wrote.
Offering condolences, peer Richard Kind remarked there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, helping you be funnier and better. An excellent dad and person," he posted on social media.
Pat Finn is remembered by his spouse Donna, his children, and his parents and siblings.
