The Streaming Giant Casts Spot-On Performer for Mr. 2 in One Piece Third Season

The Secret Organization is poised to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a beloved, popular member has recently been selected.

The platform declared Tuesday that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Bentham. This character possesses the power to morph into an perfect replica of anyone they’ve touched with their main hand. The actor, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that figure reinterpreted as gender non-binary, rather than as a drag queen, in the live-action show, differing from the initial comic and cartoon version.

This performer will work alongside several other new cast members who will portray the group to the screen, including head Mr. 0, played by the seasoned performer, a talented actress as a key member, and a familiar face, who is also part of the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.

Although this character is a major member of Baroque Works, the individual won’t appear until One Piece the third season. Given the next season likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this marks a major departure in the timing of their first appearance, one that could suggest further changes to the plot development.

The actor’s combination of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the role. In addition to their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and multiple awards for writing and starring in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s highly regarded roles.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
