This incident caused the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
